AIESEC Lahore

"hello from Mehwish, Brussels!"

Hi,
 
Im good. Everythings going great mashAllah. Having loads of fun. Enjoying work. Works keeping me pretty busy. other than that having fun exploring the city when i can. Coz i work in another city, Diegem, not in main brussels.So i commute to work every morning.Either by bus or by train. by bus it takes about 39 mins to get to work and by train it takes 15 mins.
 
Brussels is very pretty and there are many different kinds of people here coz its the center of the EU. Even on the bus home from work (DHL has a bus that u can take back into the city in the evening) you can hear many different kinds of languages being spoken and im in awe every time. There are soooooooooooo many trainees here from AIESEC its like an AIESEC mini world. Everyone is very outspoken, hardworking and full of life.  Ive made many new friends who have helped me adopt to belgian life. so am settleing in very well.
 
i have yet to find an apartment still looking hard. In the meantime im staying with a collegue from work.
 
One interesting thing about belgium is that everything closes here at 6. nothing is open after that. apart from night shops which are very few and far in between. So its hard to do any shopping during th week for anyone let alone me. so the markets are jam packed on saturday coz everything is closed on sunday too.
 
ajj kal its sales season so im having a blast shopping. get my first pay check tmrw so looking forward to that.
